US Central Command Claims Disruption of Commercial Shipping in Regional Waters

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) on Monday issued a statement claiming to have altered the course of 17 commercial vessels as part of a purported maritime interdiction initiative. The military command also alleged that it had disabled two ships and inspected two others.

CENTCOM, in its statement, which appears aimed at bolstering the morale of its forces in the face of Iran’s defensive capabilities, asserted, “Since the resumption of [by] Iran, we have changed the course of 17 commercial vessels, disabled two ships, and inspected two ships.” This entity has previously put forth similar claims.
