Israeli Defense Minister Katz Alleges US Jets Launched Attacks on Iran from Israeli Bases
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has asserted that American fighter jets have launched attacks against Iran from Israeli territory, a claim underscoring a perceived high level of joint operational coordination between the two nations. Speaking to Al Jazeera, as reported by Mehr News Agency, Katz stated that Iran is aware of these operations, which he believes originate from Israeli airports and military bases.
Katz further emphasized Israel’s strong desire to strike Iranian energy infrastructure, though he indicated that the United States currently prohibits such actions. He asserted that both he and the Prime Minister have declared that any Iranian attack on Israel would be met with a severe response. The minister also indicated that Israel has attacked Iran twice previously and is prepared to conduct a third independent military strike.
Addressing the conflict in Gaza and southern Lebanon, Katz claimed that Israel now controls 60 percent of Gaza and anticipates expanding this to 70 percent soon. He stated that Israel has devastated everything on the ground and underground in Gaza, having already destroyed 70 percent of the Gaza Strip. He added that this destructive pattern is now being replicated in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli Defense Minister elaborated on the differing interests between the United States and Israel concerning Iran, suggesting that America has considerations and interests in the Iran dossier that extend beyond those of Israel.
Regarding the ongoing occupation in the West Bank, Katz revealed that he has instructed the military to prepare for the occupation of additional refugee camps, drawing parallels to recent operations in Nur Shams, Tulkarm, and Jenin.
