Trump Boasts of ‘Good Talks’ with Iran, Threatens ‘Devastating’ Military Action
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump, in an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, reiterated his assertions about engaging in consultations with Tehran aimed at controlling oil prices. He claimed, “We have had good talks with Iran. Reaching an agreement with Iran is better than destroying other parts of the country! We might be in the midst of excellent negotiations, but suddenly Iran will announce that there are no negotiations or that we haven’t discussed the nuclear issue.”
The U.S. President, who has been unable to publicly account for his claims regarding damage to Iran’s air defense systems, made what appeared to be media-driven assertions, stating, “We disabled Iran’s air defense systems, just as we destroyed a large portion of their weapons. We are in a very powerful position against Iran, and I can destroy most of Iran’s bridges in less than an hour. If Iran does not reach an agreement with us, I will go back and finish the job. Many Republicans want me to continue and pursue military action against Iran.”
Donald Trump, widely seen by the international community as a violator of the Islamabad accords between Tehran and Washington, asserted, “We can no longer allow Iran to violate agreements. Iran can lay some sea mines and create chaos, but we control the Strait of Hormuz! The naval blockade we are currently imposing on Iran is so strong that no one can break it.”
Unable to respond to domestic public criticism regarding the U.S. military’s perceived inability to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, he voiced his desires, claiming, “The Strait of Hormuz is under American control! We have militarily crushed Iran; they have neither a navy nor an air force, and their army has suffered devastating blows. I can restart military operations against Iran and finish the job, and there are those who want me to do so. There are those who want me to destroy Iran’s power plants and bridges, but the problem lies in the consequences. The Iranians know that if they do not reach an agreement with us, I will destroy the bridges and power plants. If we do not reach an agreement with Tehran, we will destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities at Mount Kolang.”
