Qatar Backs Lasting Peace Through Diplomacy in Region

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data published by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, reveals that Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held a phone conversation with Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, on Tuesday. The two officials exchanged views on bilateral relations and explored avenues for their support and enhancement.
The foreign ministers of Qatar and Jordan deliberated on the latest regional developments, particularly focusing on diplomatic initiatives and joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and bolstering security and stability across the region.
The Qatari Foreign Minister underscored the necessity for all parties to adhere to dialogue and diplomacy, advocating for the implementation of the agreement between Iran and the United States. He specifically highlighted the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz as a critical measure for maintaining regional security, preserving achieved gains, and consolidating regional stability.
Furthermore, he reiterated Qatar’s full support for all endeavors aimed at diffusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement to establish lasting peace in the region.
