Wall Street Journal: Netanyahu’s Influence Diminished in Meeting with Trump

The Wall Street Journal reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s influence was significantly weaker during his recent meeting with then-President Donald Trump compared to previous encounters, according to American officials.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Wall Street Journal reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s influence during his recent meeting with then-President Donald Trump was considerably less impactful than during past gatherings. American officials cited in the report indicated that Netanyahu arrived in the United States with much less leverage than on previous visits, seemingly aware of Trump’s preferences and sensitivities during their discussions.

The report further revealed that prior to Netanyahu’s arrival, Trump had expressed disappointment with Netanyahu’s actions in closed-door discussions with his deputies. The meeting between Trump and Netanyahu took place at the White House, where the White House claimed a positive and constructive atmosphere prevailed.
