Iraq Denounces US-Saudi Attack on Popular Mobilization Forces

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Presidency of Iraq has issued a statement condemning the attack on the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) headquarters in several Iraqi regions, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of the organization’s forces. The Iraqi Presidency emphasized Baghdad’s firm opposition to any aggression on Iraqi territory in its statement. It reiterated Iraq’s consistent stance against the use of its soil for attacks on neighboring countries or as a theater for regional and international score-settling, based on adherence to the principles of good neighborliness, respect for state sovereignty, and non-interference in internal affairs.
The Iraqi Presidency further called on all parties to respect Iraq’s sovereignty, refrain from any actions that disrupt its security and stability, and prioritize dialogue to address crises in order to preserve regional security and steer its nations away from escalating tensions.
