US Imposes New Sanctions Targeting Mahan Air Support Networks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United States has enacted new sanctions against Iranian entities, targeting companies and individuals identified as supporting Mahan Air. The US Treasury Department announced on Thursday that six entities and individuals located in China, India, Russia, and Iran have been added to its sanctions list for allegedly acting as sales agents and support networks for the Iranian airline. Washington claims Mahan Air transports members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as weapons and drones.
The targeted entities and individuals are accused of facilitating operations for Mahan Air, which has previously faced sanctions from both the United States and European nations. This latest move by the US comes despite repeated assertions from White House officials regarding ongoing diplomatic processes.
