Iraqi Prime Minister Reportedly Threatens Resignation Over Disagreements

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Al-Arabi TV network in Qatar, citing a source within the Shiite coordination framework in Iraq, has alleged that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani has threatened to resign. The report suggests his potential resignation stems from what he perceives as a lack of cooperation from various groups on numerous matters.

The source cited by Al-Arabi further indicated that the unwillingness of Iraqi groups to hand over their weapons to the government is a primary reason for the dispute with the Prime Minister. This development occurs amidst ongoing discussions and political maneuvering within Iraq regarding state control over armed factions.
