Lebanese Parliament Speaker Condemns Israeli Aggression, Demands End to Silence

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has strongly condemned recent Israeli escalations and ceasefire violations in southern Lebanon, calling for an end to international silence in the face of repeated aggressions. The statements come as Israeli forces launched artillery strikes and drone attacks in the region.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has responded to the continued commission of crimes and ceasefire violations by the Israeli regime, most recently highlighted by unprecedented explosions in southern Lebanon the previous night. Al-Ahed news website reported on the statement.

Berri stated, “The explosions that Israel carried out yesterday around Shaqif Castle and the towns of Arnoun, Kfar Tibnit, Yahmor Shaqif, and Hodaithra, and before that in the occupied villages, towns, and cities in southern Lebanon, are condemned and should not be met with silence.”

The Lebanese Parliament Speaker’s remarks were made as Lebanese media reported on Israeli artillery attacks targeting the Al-Tahir heights in southern Lebanon today. Additionally, an Israeli drone released a sonic bomb in the town of Al-Mansouri, in the southern Tyre district.
