Ukraine Drones Sink Russian Civilian Ship in Black Sea

Two Ukrainian drones struck and sank a civilian ship belonging to the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom in the Black Sea, an incident Russian officials have condemned as piracy.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rosatom’s civilian vessel, carrying goods such as frozen food and construction materials, was sunk by two Ukrainian drones while navigating the Black Sea overnight. All 17 crew members aboard the ship survived the attack unharmed.

Alexei Likhachev, head of Russia’s state nuclear corporation, stated that such an assault could only be described as piracy and maritime robbery. Both Russia and Ukraine have escalated attacks on vessels they claim are assisting the opposing side’s war efforts in recent weeks.
