Qatari LNG Tanker Struck by Projectile in Strait of Hormuz, Bloomberg Claims

A liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker carrying a cargo from Qatar was reportedly struck by a projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, according to claims made by Bloomberg.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Bloomberg reported on Saturday that a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker from Qatar was targeted by a projectile while passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The report, citing security and vessel tracking data firms, stated that the incident posed a threat of further disruption to the delivery of super-chilled fuel through this critical waterway.

Security consulting firms Vanguard Tech and Marisks identified the vessel as the LNG tanker Gaslog Shanghai. Earlier, the UK Maritime Trade Operations had issued a warning about a vessel being hit in the Strait of Hormuz near the coast of Oman, without naming the specific ship.
