Gaza Reports Highest Monthly Martyr Toll in 2026 Amidst Ongoing Israeli Attacks

Gaza’s Ministry of Health has reported the highest monthly toll of martyrs in 2026, with 152 individuals killed during the past month due to Israeli military operations. This surge in casualties underscores the intense nature of recent attacks on civilians.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, citing Shehab News Agency, indicates a significant rise in the number of martyrs from Israeli assaults over the past month. The Ministry of Health stated that 152 martyrs were recorded in the last month, marking the highest monthly figure since the beginning of the year.

The report detailed that among the martyrs were 21 children, 14 women, and 4 elderly individuals, reflecting the extensive scale of attacks targeting non-combatant citizens. This announcement follows closely after the Ministry of Health reported that 8 martyrs and 76 injured individuals were transported to hospitals in the region within the preceding 48 hours.

Of the recently deceased, seven individuals were martyred in recent Israeli attacks, while one succumbed to pre-existing severe injuries. Rescue teams have been unable to reach numerous victims still trapped under rubble and in the streets.

Since the ceasefire established on October 11, 1222 Palestinians have been martyred and 4053 injured. Additionally, the bodies of 804 martyrs have been recovered from under the debris during this period.

The total number of martyrs from Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,349, with 174,162 individuals sustaining injuries, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza. In a separate incident, the Ministry also reported the death of another Palestinian due to a building collapse, bringing the total casualties from such structural failures to 33.
