Ex-Trump Lawyer Claims President Sought JD Vance Dismissal Over Iran Stance

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, former President Donald Trump‘s attorney, Robert Barnes, has shed light on internal disagreements within the former president’s administration, attributing them to Trump’s populist approach. Barnes stated that some of these disputes arose from illegal U.S. actions against Iran, but Trump’s cabinet members, described as “cowardly and sycophantic,” reportedly feared expressing their opposition and kept their dissent hidden.

Robert Barnes further elaborated that JD Vance, who served as Trump’s Vice President, disagreed with him regarding these actions. Barnes recounted that around March and April, events unfolded as Vance had predicted, while Trump’s pronouncements proved inaccurate. Vance had presented his views, which were strongly opposed to the entire duration of the Iran conflict, and attempted to steer Trump away from war during the initial stages of the clashes. However, Trump avoided any agreements Vance sought to broker, leading to a complete loss of confidence from Iran regarding Trump’s ability to reach a deal. Barnes also noted Trump’s tendency to compare himself to world leaders, aspiring to be like Napoleon.

The American lawyer added that Vance was the only individual who served as a check on Trump. These circumstances, according to Barnes, led Trump to conclude that he should dismiss the only rational person in his cabinet. However, Barnes indicated that Trump was unable to proceed with this action due to constitutional limitations.
