Israeli Military Personnel Caught in Lebanon eSIM Security Breach

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Times of Israel reported that paratrooper brigade soldiers acquired digital SIM cards, known as eSIMs, from sources within Lebanon without permission or notification. The aim was to improve their mobile communications, including the exchange of messages within confidential and operational WhatsApp groups.

This action indicates that soldiers stationed in a high-risk conflict zone were communicating about operational and military matters via these SIM cards without the authorization of the Israeli regime’s army. This breach could have potentially exposed forces in the area to danger during combat operations and field missions.

Sources familiar with the matter stated that this is not the first instance of such an action occurring. It was revealed that nearly all personnel within this brigade participated in this unauthorized procurement, an act that, according to observers, could have jeopardized the safety of personnel operating in the region.
