Israel Signals Shift to Widespread Offensive in West Bank, Expanding Gaza Strategy

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, channeled through Mehr News Agency and quoting Al Jazeera, Israeli Channel 14 reported that the political cabinet of the Israeli regime has granted the necessary green light to change the army’s strategy from ‘defense’ to a ‘widespread offensive’ throughout the West Bank.

In line with this, Israel’s War Minister, Yisrael Katz, issued threats, referencing the complete destruction of the Shuja’iyya and Jabalia neighborhoods in Gaza. He asserted that if resistance continues, a similar fate awaits areas in the West Bank.

These threats have intensified concurrently with escalated attacks by armed settlers, supported by the army, particularly after the incident in the village of Tel near Nablus. The occupying regime has exploited these conflicts to carry out widespread arrests, demolish homes, and accelerate the expansion of illegal settlements.

International organizations, including Human Rights Watch, have warned against this approach, deeming it a clear example of crimes against humanity and a repetition of the forced displacement catastrophe.

Furthermore, human rights reports emphasize that settler attacks and settlement construction have reached unprecedented levels, with Israeli soldiers frequently acting as enforcers for settlers in many of these violations.

Given these circumstances, the West Bank appears to be on the verge of a new wave of tensions and escalating conflict due to these aggressive and reckless policies.
