Minab Martyrs Honored in Karbala Ceremony, Speakers Condemn Attacks on Children
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a commemoration ceremony for the martyrs of Minab took place in Karbala on Sunday, bringing together the families of children who were victims of a recent attack. The event highlighted the enduring pain and calls for justice following the incident.
One mother, whose child was among those martyred, spoke emotionally about the perceived global silence regarding the suffering of children. She stated, “The cries of our children’s oppression have echoed across the world. We had pledged to accompany our children on the Arbaeen path, but look at what the child-killing enemy has done that today we walk this path in their stead.” She further reflected on the children’s unfulfilled desire to visit the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), a wish she noted has also been expressed by the Leader of the Revolution.
“Schools are meant for education and the cultivation of knowledge, yet countries that claim global peace have attacked a school,” she added. Addressing the perpetrators, she questioned the motive behind targeting a place of learning, stating, “As the families of the martyrs, we ask them: Why and for what sin? If you claim this school was a military site, why didn’t you wait for the children to leave before attacking? Don’t you say your goal is to establish peace in the region? Isn’t it true that you yourselves are the initiators of regional wars?”
The mother asserted, “Has Iran ever initiated a war against any country? It is you who ignite regional and global wars. Our children sympathized with the oppressed children of Gaza, but ultimately, you have sealed the same fate for them. You martyred our children in such a way that their bodies were shattered.” She concluded her remarks by emphasizing that the attacks by the United States and Israel have not only failed to break the will of the nations but have instead led to a global awakening.
