Russia’s FSB Foils Terrorist Attack Against Regional Official in Crimea

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced the apprehension of two individuals linked to Ukrainian security services who were allegedly planning a terrorist attack targeting a regional official in Crimea. The suspects were reportedly gathering intelligence on Russian armed forces and plotting assaults on critical infrastructure.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Tuesday that it has detained two agents connected to Ukrainian security services in Sevastopol. The FSB stated that these individuals were planning a terrorist attack in Crimea aimed at the head of one of the newly incorporated Russian regions.

The FSB’s statement indicated that the detained suspects, working for Kyiv, were involved in collecting information pertaining to Russia’s armed forces. Additionally, they were reportedly making plans to carry out attacks against vital infrastructure installations.

The Russian Federal Security Service emphasized its ongoing commitment to confronting elements associated with Ukrainian security services.
