According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that U.S. Federal Aviation Administration officials are investigating an air traffic safety incident involving a military helicopter carrying President Donald Trump on Tuesday. The helicopter, known as Marine One, departed from the White House on Tuesday afternoon (Eastern Time). However, air traffic controllers did not halt commercial flights at the nearby Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport according to established safety protocols. A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration told The Wall Street Journal that, based on federal regulations, Marine One carrying President Trump and a commercial aircraft taking off did not appear to have come dangerously close to one another, nor were their flight paths such that they posed a collision risk. Therefore, the incident is not classified as a near-miss situation.

In a separate security development, U.S. media outlets had previously reported the arrest of a suspect armed with a weapon at President Donald Trump’s golf course in California. U.S. media reported late Tuesday local time that a 38-year-old man named Genine Jan Tyle was arrested at Trump’s golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, prior to the President’s arrival. Fox News reported that officials stated the armed suspect, Genine Jan Tyle, 38, was detained at Trump’s golf course while observing security measures and preparations before Trump’s scheduled appearance.
