According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abd Al-Rahman Al-Sayed has emerged victorious in the Democratic Party’s primary elections for a U.S. Senate seat in Michigan, according to data released by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera. NBC News reported that Al-Sayed managed to defeat his opponent despite tens of millions of dollars being spent on the electoral campaign, a significant portion of which was funded by groups supporting the Zionist regime.
The outcome of Tuesday’s election represents a major blow to the pro-Israel lobby in America, known as AIPAC. This lobby, which spearheaded efforts to defeat the pro-Palestine candidate Abd Al-Rahman Al-Sayed, had spent over $30 million to support his rival, incumbent Congresswoman Haley Stevens.
Abd Al-Rahman Al-Sayed will face Republican Party’s former Congressman Mike Rogers in the November elections. This contest is considered one of the few pivotal developments for the Senate in the November mid-term elections and could determine which party controls the Senate until the end of President Donald Trump’s term.
Should Abd Al-Rahman Al-Sayed, who has Egyptian roots, win in November, he would become the first Muslim senator in American history.

Abd Al-Rahman Al-Sayed has described the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza as genocide and believes that financial resources spent on conflicts serving Israel’s interests should be invested in addressing issues of healthcare, housing, and infrastructure within American local communities.
Earlier, Politico magazine had reported that the Democratic Party’s primary elections in Michigan and Missouri were crucial tests for the party’s future stance on the Zionist regime.
The pro-Israel lobby AIPAC had reportedly spent approximately $30 million to support Congresswoman Haley Stevens, aiming to prevent Al-Sayed’s victory in the race for the U.S. Senate nomination from Michigan. This represents the largest campaign expenditure in the lobby’s history to date.
In Missouri, AIPAC reportedly spent around $2 million to prevent the return of former Congresswoman Cori Bush to politics. The pro-Israel lobby had previously spent close to $9 million to defeat her.
