Ship Sinks Off Yemen Coast After Surface Vessel Attack

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a security incident has been reported off the coast of Yemen, resulting in the sinking of a commercial ship. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) issued a delayed report detailing an incident that occurred nine nautical miles southwest of Mokha, Yemen.
The UKMTO stated that the vessel was attacked by an unmanned surface vessel, which caused a fire onboard. Following the attack, the crew members were rescued by local authorities and are reported to be in good health and safe.
The ship, however, has reportedly sunk. UKMTO has advised other vessels to exercise caution when transiting the area and to report any suspicious activity to their agency as investigations are underway.
