Iran-Oman Talks Nearing Completion, Few Issues Remain

A senior diplomatic source has informed Al Jazeera that only one or two issues remain to be resolved in the negotiations between Iran and Oman. The source indicated that these matters do not appear to be overly complex.

The source stated that an agreement could be reached today or tomorrow, provided there is no malicious interference from other parties.

Furthermore, the diplomatic source clarified that the Strait of Hormuz has not been closed due to disputes between Iran and Oman. Therefore, any closure or reopening of the strait would be contingent upon actions by the United States that are deemed to violate international law.
