According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli media outlets, citing the Israeli army spokesperson, reported the death of a captain serving as a company commander and another Israeli soldier, along with injuries to four others in southern Lebanon yesterday. The incident occurred around noon when Israeli army forces from the 55th Brigade’s combat team were operating in the area of the village of Majdal Zoun. As the forces entered a building in the vicinity, an explosion took place, believed to be caused by a roadside bomb planted at the location. Israeli media reported that as a result of this explosion, a captain and a first sergeant were killed, and four reserve soldiers of the Israeli army were severely injured. The injured soldiers have been transferred to hospitals for medical treatment. Channel 12 of the Israeli television network stated that after the bomb explosion in Majdal Zoun, initially only four injured were reported, but in subsequent stages, the bodies of the officer and the Israeli soldier were recovered from the rubble.
