Trump Demands Investigation into Ammunition Stockpile Leak Amid Iran Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. officials have announced that President Donald Trump is demanding an investigation into the leak of information concerning the reduction of American ammunition reserves in connection with the conflict with Iran. This information was published by the Mehr News Agency, citing The Wall Street Journal.
The White House has asserted that the United States possesses overwhelming firepower and sufficient weapons reserves to execute any operation ordered by the President.
These officials indicated that Trump believes reports about the status of ammunition stockpiles have emboldened Iran and weakened Washington’s efforts to contain Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
The Wall Street Journal, referencing informed sources, also reported that Trump discussed the Pentagon’s ammunition stockpile situation in a conversation with the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense.
The newspaper further noted that last week, several senior U.S. government officials participated in a meeting concerning strategies to increase the production of strategic ammunition.
Pentagon officials have also held confidential discussions with Republican lawmakers to garner support for a defense budget increase request. The Secretary of Defense and his deputy briefed Republican members of Congress on the latest developments during a classified meeting on Tuesday.
