Thousands of Buildings Destroyed in Southern Lebanon Due to Israeli Attacks, Al Jazeera Reports

Al Jazeera correspondent reports widespread destruction of thousands of buildings across southern Lebanon, with some villages completely flattened as Israeli forces continue demolition operations, according to data released by Iran’s Mehr News Agency.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Al Jazeera’s correspondent, reporting from the devastated areas of Zawtar El Gharbiyeh in Nabatieh, south Lebanon, stated that many villages have been reduced to rubble, describing the situation as horrific. These areas have been targeted by what Iran’s Mehr News Agency refers to as “Zionist regime” attacks.

Statistics published by Israel’s Channel 12 indicate that 18,000 buildings have been destroyed across 19 villages. Villages such as Maroun Ar-Ras, Blida, and Mehibib have experienced 100 percent devastation, while Khayyam and Adaysseh in Marjayoun have seen destruction levels reaching 90 percent.

The Al Jazeera correspondent emphasized that Israeli soldiers are continuing to demolish houses under the pretext of the presence of Hezbollah infrastructure. This operation has led to the extensive damage reported.
