Hamas Warns Against Escalating Israeli Settlement Activities in West Bank

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Palestine Today, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has warned of escalating settlement attacks in Bethlehem, emphasizing that the Palestinian nation is more powerful than all the occupation regime’s designs.
Mahmoud al-Maradaavi, a leader of the Hamas movement, stated in a press release on Saturday that the demolition of homes and displacement of Palestinians in the village of Al-Walaja, northwest of Bethlehem, and other villages and towns in the West Bank, constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity. He added that the fascist cabinet of the occupation regime is implementing these actions to break the resilience of the Palestinian people and impose annexation and forced displacement plans.
Al-Maradaavi noted that the issuance of dozens of demolition and displacement orders against over 100 Palestinian families in Al-Walaja is part of an organized plan to besiege the area, a strategy being implemented similarly across all West Bank governorates.
He stressed, “Our nation is more enduring and stronger than all these plans and suppressive measures.”
The Hamas official cautioned about the consequences of the continued aggressions by the Zionist regime against the land and people of Palestine in the West Bank, and the regime’s blatant disregard for all international warnings. He stated that these actions will escalate public anger and resistance in all its forms.
Al-Maradaavi asserted that the confiscation of land, Judaization of holy sites, and destruction of essential infrastructure and components of life by the criminal cabinet of the occupation regime will not alter the identity of the Palestinian land, nor will it grant any legitimacy to the occupiers. Instead, it will solidify the will of the Palestinian people to remain resilient, stay on their land, and defend it.
He called on the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank, particularly the residents of Bethlehem, to stand against the dangerous settlement plans and projects of the Zionist regime.
Al-Maradaavi emphasized that resistance and national unity are a right and a duty to preserve the dignity of the Palestinian people and defend their land and holy sites.
