Azerbaijan President and Armenian Prime Minister Discuss Peace Process and Economic Ties

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a phone call to review the ongoing peace process, the implementation of the peace agreement, and prospects for expanding economic cooperation between the two nations.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, in a phone conversation marking the first anniversary of the August 8, 2025 agreement signing, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed the normalization of relations between their countries.
The leaders reviewed progress made over the past year in normalizing ties, highlighting the expansion of economic and trade relations as a tangible achievement of the peace process.
Discussions also covered the export of Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia and the transit of goods through Azerbaijan to Armenia and other destinations.
