Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Denounces Netanyahu’s Rejection of Gaza Peace Plan
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement on Sunday, denouncing the remarks made by Israeli Prime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom it labeled a “war criminal,” regarding his opposition and rejection of the ceasefire roadmap. The group asserted that Netanyahu’s stance confirms the ongoing maneuvers by the occupation forces to derail any agreement, evade their commitments, and proceed with a war of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement.
In its statement, the movement called upon mediators to assume their responsibilities and fulfill their obligations. It specifically urged them to apply genuine pressure on the United States to compel the occupation authorities to fully implement the agreement.
The Popular Front also appealed for a unified and active stance from Arab and Islamic nations to prevent the obliteration of the Palestinian cause and the imposition of new realities and conditions.
The statement cautioned that the gradual steps being promoted for the implementation of the agreement and its second phase are aimed at circumventing the accord. These steps, it warned, would lead to the consolidation of division, fragmentation of the Gaza Strip, and the confinement of over two million Palestinians within less than a third of its territory.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine further emphasized that Palestinian flexibility was intended to ensure the success of the agreement and end the suffering of their people, and it cannot be exploited to gain further concessions. Adherence to the agreement, it stressed, must be based on reciprocity.
Finally, the movement issued a warning regarding the alignment of Nikolay Mladenov, the UN Special Envoy for the Middle East Peace Process and Head of the Peace Council for Gaza, with the political interests of Netanyahu and the plans of the “fascist Zionist cabinet.” It called for an active Arab and Islamic response to counter these Zionist schemes, which aim to eradicate and displace the Palestinian people.
