Mali Army Base Attacked, 10 Soldiers Killed

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, security and local sources speaking to Agence France-Presse (AFP) announced on Sunday that an attack on a Malian army base in the central town of San has resulted in numerous fatalities.

The incident saw at least 10 soldiers killed, according to reports from the outlet. Elements of a terrorist group affiliated with al-Qaeda have claimed responsibility for the attack.

A security source informed the agency that the attackers were able to temporarily seize control of the base.
