Lebanese Diplomatic Source Denies Upcoming Talks with Israel

A Lebanese diplomatic source has stated that there are no plans for a new round of negotiations with Israel to take place next month, suggesting any potential talks would occur after the summer. The source also noted Israeli and American objections to expanding ‘test zones’ before progress is made in previously established areas.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a Lebanese diplomatic source informed Al Mayadeen news network that there is no schedule for a new round of negotiations between Lebanon and the Israeli side to be held next month. The source added that if a new round of these talks does take place, it would likely be held after the end of summer.

The source further stated that American and Israeli parties opposed the expansion of “test zones” before achieving “progress” in the two previous zones. The Lebanese delegation rejected Israeli claims that all explosions in the south were caused by targeting military infrastructure.

The source also mentioned that the American and Israeli delegations called for Hezbollah’s withdrawal from the “Ali Al-Tahir” heights in the Nabatieh region.
