Ukraine Claims Drone Strike on Russia’s Largest Petrochemical Complex
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukraine‘s military general staff has claimed it successfully targeted the Gazprom petrochemical complex in Russia’s Bashkortostan region, which is reportedly the nation’s largest such facility. The Ukrainian army asserted that the drone attack penetrated 1,300 kilometers into Russian territory to execute the operation.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that one serviceman was killed in an explosion in the city of Sevastopol. A Russian woman has been detained on suspicion of involvement in the incident. The regional directorate of the FSB stated that the woman acted on the orders of Ukrainian intelligence services.
Russian officials also reported at least five fatalities resulting from an explosion caused by an alleged Ukrainian attack on the Crimean peninsula. Interfax news agency further reported that a Russian military official was killed in an explosion on the Crimean peninsula.
