These sources claimed that in the initial weeks of the war against Iran, Trump’s close advisors were confident he would back Netanyahu. However, with the failure of the war and the widening rifts regarding foreign policy, not only concerning Iran but also Lebanon and Gaza, Trump has gradually distanced himself from the Israeli prime minister. In private conversations, Trump has reportedly described Netanyahu as the worst enemy of the Prime Minister of Israel and has expressed disappointment with his decisions and policies.

The report alleges that Netanyahu’s public opposition to the peace council plan, proposed by Trump for Hamas disarmament in Gaza, is the latest in a series of disagreements between the two. Nevertheless, the White House characterized Netanyahu’s statements as part of electoral politics rather than a definitive political stance.
