Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Accuses Iran of Attacks on Commercial Vessels
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council based in Riyadh has announced that Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi strongly condemned what he described as “repeated attacks by Iran on oil tankers of the ADNOC company of the Emirates and commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.”
In a statement released by the GCC, Al-Budaiwi claimed that these alleged attacks constitute an “unacceptable escalation of tension and a serious violation of the security and safety of maritime navigation.”
He further asserted that Iran must immediately cease all hostile actions that threaten the security and stability of the region and the world.
Al-Budaiwi called upon the international community to exert pressure on Iran to halt these actions.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council also emphasized the full solidarity of the GCC with the United Arab Emirates, stating that the Council stands with Abu Dhabi and supports all measures the country takes to protect its security, territorial sovereignty, and interests.
