Russia Claims Ukraine Intensifies Attacks on Civilian Infrastructure

Russia has accused Ukraine of escalating assaults on civilian targets, reporting a significant number of casualties and damage to energy facilities and residential areas over the past week. Ukraine has not yet responded to these allegations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that Ukraine‘s armed forces have increased their attacks on Russian civilian energy facilities. Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, reported that 69 civilians, including three children, were killed in attacks by Ukrainian forces in the past week. He further alleged that Ukraine is deliberately targeting hospitals and ambulances within Russia.

In a separate incident, Andrey Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow Oblast, announced that air defense systems and electronic warfare successfully countered a large-scale drone attack on the Moscow suburbs. Over 150 drones were reportedly shot down in the region. The governor stated that during the engagement with the drone attack, a 10-year-old girl, a woman, and a man sustained injuries. He added that areas including Pavlovsky-Posadsky, Bogorodsky, Kolomna, Kotelniki, and Elektrostal in the Moscow suburbs suffered damage as a result of last night’s drone operation.
