US Officials Claim New Route Established for Hormuz Strait Transit

U.S. officials have asserted that American forces have created a new passage for entry and exit through the Strait of Hormuz, aiming to facilitate the daily transit of millions of barrels of oil.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, several U.S. officials have informed the Axios news outlet that American forces have established a route for entering and exiting the Strait of Hormuz, intended to enable the daily transfer of millions of barrels of oil. These officials claim that approximately 10 million barrels of oil are moved to the energy market daily, which is equivalent to half the amount of oil transported through this route before the onset of the war.

Another U.S. official reiterated claims made to Axios, stating that the country’s forces have controlled the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz for the past two months, and that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps may only be able to create disruptions for this passage. Several other officials, speaking to the news outlet, alleged that Iran’s capability to monitor ship traffic in the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz has diminished.

A U.S. official made a significant claim, stating that American military personnel intercepted eight Iranian drones and two cruise missiles on Monday evening. Axios also reported, citing Trump, that a substantial volume of oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz.
