Mossad Allegedly Linked to International Crypto Fraud Ring Busted in Turkey
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish authorities have expanded their investigation into a major international financial fraud network, leading to the arrest of 211 individuals and implicating dozens of companies and communication hubs. Reports from Al Jazeera, cited by the Mehr News Agency, indicate that the probe has uncovered significant new dimensions.
Turkish daily Milliyet reported that discussions have arisen concerning the alleged involvement of the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad, in the case. So far, 40 communication centers and financial offices linked to 25 companies within an international fraud network operating in the cryptocurrency market and reportedly connected to the Israeli regime have been identified within Turkey. Suspects with nationalities including Israeli, Syrian, Jordanian, Ukrainian, Pakistani, Indonesian, Moroccan, Kazakh, Chinese, Egyptian, and Bangladeshi have been detained.
Milliyet further stated that the methods employed by this network are believed to be linked to Mossad’s intelligence techniques. Earlier, the Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv reported that Turkey had arrested 191 individuals on suspicion of involvement in an international fraud network operating in the cryptocurrency and foreign exchange markets.
The value of the fraudulent activities undertaken by this international network is estimated to be $3 billion. Ankara has announced that the network maintained ties with the Israeli regime, and a substantial portion of these funds were reportedly moved to occupied territories. Maariv added that Turkey’s Minister of Justice confirmed that investigations indicate Israeli involvement in the fraud network. The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs also acknowledged receiving information regarding the detention of several Israeli nationals in Turkey.
