Yemeni Forces Inflict Heavy Blows on Saudi Mercenaries, Releasing New Footage
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, new images have emerged detailing the severe blows delivered by Yemeni armed forces to Saudi mercenaries during the “Wallah Ashadd Basa’an wa Ashadd Tankeelan” operation on the western coast. The Ansar Allah Information Center in Yemen has disseminated footage illustrating the forceful dismantling of Saudi mercenary gathering points and the destruction of their military vehicles and equipment. This operation resulted in the expulsion of mercenary forces from several areas in Taiz and Al Hudaydah governorates.
The extensive military operation, launched on September 3rd along the country’s western coast, has swiftly propelled the Yemeni conflict into a new strategic phase. The offensive has seen the capture of vast territories in Taiz and Al Hudaydah, the fall of the crucial Al Hudaydah port, and advances towards the Bab al-Mandab strait. This strategic push has established a Yemeni military presence in areas overlooking the strait and key islands in the southern Red Sea.
On Friday, September 11th, the spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces announced that the “Wallah Ashadd Basa’an wa Ashadd Tankeelan” operation, initiated on September 3rd, has compelled Saudi-supported forces to withdraw from six districts in Taiz and Al Hudaydah, liberating approximately 5,400 square kilometers. Yahya Saree further reported that Yemeni forces targeted seven divisions comprising 38 military brigades during this operation, resulting in the deaths, injuries, or capture of hundreds of opposing personnel.
The significance of this operation extends beyond the territory controlled or the casualty figures. What transforms this battle from a tactical victory into a strategic development is the altered geographical positioning of the Yemeni resistance relative to the most vital maritime route in the southern Red Sea.
