New York Mayor Demands Netanyahu’s Arrest Upon Arrival for UN Assembly

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has reiterated his position that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should be arrested if he travels to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly meetings. Adams described Netanyahu as a “war criminal and architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people.” He stated that this issue was also raised during his recent meeting with President Donald Trump at the mayor’s residence in New York.

During an interview with CNN, the New York City Mayor emphasized that if the International Criminal Court has determined an individual is subject to arrest for violating international laws, then no one should be considered above these regulations. He stressed the imperative for all individuals to be held accountable under the law.

Previously, Adams had indicated that he was exploring available legal avenues to enforce the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court against Netanyahu, should the Israeli Prime Minister visit New York. However, he clarified that New York City officials do not possess independent legal authority to execute such a warrant, with the U.S. federal government holding the relevant powers. Adams has urged the federal government to cooperate with the International Criminal Court and enforce Netanyahu’s arrest warrant.
