Trump Claims Putin Ready for Ukraine War Summit, Cites Progress in Iran Talks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump held consultations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. Trump asserted that he is working with Zelensky to find a solution to end the war and that he would discuss Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy facilities with Zelensky, noting that such strikes inflict significant damage on Russia and gasoline prices.

President Trump further added that the Russian President is prepared to hold a summit to end the war.

Facing the prospect of his Republican party’s defeat in the upcoming midterm congressional elections, Trump attempted to justify some of his administration’s failures, despite spending tens of billions of dollars in aggression against Tehran. He stated that a U.S. official held a three-hour meeting with the Iranian delegation, and the session proceeded well. The meeting between the U.S. official and the Iranian side was highly fruitful, with an agreement deemed beneficial to Iran. Tehran, he added, faces two options, one of which is very unfavorable.
