Qatar’s PM Reports Progress in Tehran-Washington Talks, Cites Strait of Hormuz Concerns

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatar‘s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, stated in an interview with the American network CNN that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is unacceptable and that the misuse of waterways must end.

Without referencing his country’s cooperation with American military operations and aggressive actions against Iran, including hosting American bases, he claimed that Iran is not the sole party facing pressure due to the Strait of Hormuz crisis, but rather the entire world is subjected to this pressure.

The Qatari Prime Minister asserted that the use of waterways to pressure countries and impose predetermined realities is unacceptable.

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani further stated that indirect negotiations were held yesterday between Tehran and Washington, and progress was achieved during these discussions.

He indicated sensing a desire from both the American and Iranian sides to advance the negotiations.
