Russia Reports Drone Strikes on Ukrainian Port Infrastructure and Logistics Hubs
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that its armed forces have carried out drone attacks targeting logistics service centers, port and transport infrastructure facilities, communication centers, and vessels actively serving Ukraine‘s armed forces. These strikes were reportedly conducted in the Kyiv and Odesa regions.
In the Kyiv region, a data center belonging to the telecommunications company Vodafone was reportedly hit. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Vodafone is a primary provider of mobile communication and high-speed internet services to the Ukrainian armed forces and plays a role in transmitting intelligence data.
Additionally, a logistics center belonging to the Zalmer group in Krasylivka was targeted. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, this facility was used for storing and distributing Western military aid to Ukrainian forces. Two depots containing drones and their warheads were also among the stated targets in this region.
In the Odesa region, the “Dron Kalin” logistics center in Ilyichivsk, described by the Russian Ministry of Defense as a storage site for interceptor drones, was attacked. The ministry also reported that at the port of Kiliya, the headquarters of the Ukrainian Navy’s “Vostok” base, a facility belonging to Ukraine’s border guard forces, four depots of military equipment, and infrastructure for vessel docking were targeted.
The Russian Ministry of Defense further stated that a cargo ship carrying military equipment and dual-use goods destined for Ukrainian forces headed for the port of Odesa was struck. The ministry asserted that Russian forces conduct daily strikes in response to Ukrainian attacks, targeting military industry centers, long-range and medium-range drone production and storage facilities, decision-making centers, and port infrastructure that Moscow claims have military applications.
