Iraqi Parliament First Deputy Speaker Honors Hezbollah Leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Adnan Faihan, on Sunday marked the anniversary of the martyrdom of the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Faihan highlighted the steadfast support extended by Nasrallah and Hezbollah to Iraq during the occupation of parts of its territory.

In a statement, Faihan declared: “With pride and honor, we commemorate the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the martyr of martyrs of Jerusalem and Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. On this occasion, we recall his glorious and heroic path and his enduring stances. We also remember his presence and role over the decades in confronting the Zionist project and its ambitions.”

He added: “His martyrdom became a bright point in the path of resistance and showed that great leaders do not perish with martyrdom; rather, their presence becomes more deeply rooted in the conscience of the nation. Their positions and legacy continue to testify to the truth that the path to freedom is not paved except with faith, perseverance, patience, and sacrifice.”

Faihan further referenced Nasrallah and Hezbollah’s stance in supporting the Iraqi people in the battle to liberate Iraq from terrorist occupation. He stated: “The blood and martyrs offered in confronting the forces of arrogance and darkness will continue to be a guiding light for free people in supporting the oppressed and reclaiming their violated rights.”
