Iran: Sustainable Shipping Security in Hormuz Requires Tehran’s Framework

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a senior Iranian security official speaking to Russia Today emphasized that battlefield realities cannot be altered by media wars, particularly in response to statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the Strait of Hormuz. The official stressed that no operational or sustainable mechanism exists for the secure passage of ships through this strategic chokepoint that operates outside the parameters established by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The security official further disclosed that a total of 20 vessels were stopped while transiting the Strait of Hormuz over the preceding 48-hour period. Seven of these ships were detained during the most recent night, with an additional 13 vessels stopped the night before.
