Reports indicate that necessary approvals for the flight had been obtained months prior, but it was later communicated that the flight would not be permitted to land due to political and diplomatic reasons. Channel 12 of the Israeli regime’s television suggested that this decision might be linked to the Mauritian delegation’s departure from the UN General Assembly hall during Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech.
