UK Foreign Secretary Vows Continued Support for Ukraine, Warns Against Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, British Foreign Secretary Edward Miliband asserted on Monday that the United Kingdom will stand by the people of Ukraine until their victory, opposing the war initiated by Russia on Ukrainian territory. Speaking at the Labour Party conference, Miliband stated, “If our values mean anything, they mean standing up to this aggression.” He claimed that Britain should “never give in to Russian threats” and must play its part in defending and advancing the values the Labour Party has consistently championed.

The British Foreign Secretary cautioned that democratic values in Europe are under threat, emphasizing the need for a global systemic reconstruction. Miliband also called for strengthened ties and cooperation between the United Kingdom and the European Union.

In a further articulation of Western policy, he remarked, “We will stand against a nuclear Iran. Iran must be isolated until it is pressured and forced to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.”
