Hamas Vows Continued Defense of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Until Liberation
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, on the 26th anniversary of the blessed Al-Aqsa Intifada, declared that its compass will remain fixed on the liberation of land and holy sites. The movement called on the Arab and Islamic ummah and the free people of the world to support the Palestinian people’s struggle and steadfastness to achieve their legitimate rights.
In a statement issued for the occasion, Hamas expressed that the 26th anniversary of the blessed Al-Aqsa Intifada arrives amidst an unprecedented escalation of aggression by the fascist cabinet of the Israeli regime. This aggression, directed against Palestinian land, people, and holy sites, particularly Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, is characterized by its support for extremist settlers in their criminal acts. These actions aim to intensify efforts to Judaize Al-Aqsa Mosque, desecrate it, erase its symbols and identity, and advance annexation plans and forced displacement.
The movement emphasized that the blessed Al-Aqsa Intifada, which began on September 28, 2000, has been and will remain an inspiring symbol for all generations throughout history. This intifada embodies heroism and the defense of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, asserting that the enemy’s crimes and continuous terrorism will never extinguish the flame of resistance or break the will of the Palestinian people.
On the 26th anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Intifada, Hamas reiterated its pledge of loyalty to the blood of martyrs and the sacrifices of prisoners. The movement stated that the Palestinian people will never relinquish their land, rights, fundamental principles, and holy sites. It asserted that the schemes of the enemy and its successive fascist cabinets are doomed to failure, regardless of how much they escalate their barbarity and crimes.
The movement stressed that the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque are at the heart of the ongoing conflict between the Palestinian people and the Zionist enemy. Al-Aqsa Mosque will continue to be an Islamic endowment, indivisible and indivisible, and the occupying regime will have no sovereignty or legitimacy over any part or any inch of it.
Hamas added that the defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque will continue until its liberation, with no retreat from this path.
The movement emphasized that the convergence of all Palestinian factions towards agreeing on a unified struggle strategy, coupled with sustained and serious support and effective participation from the Arab and Islamic ummah and the free people of the world, is a fundamental pillar of the project to liberate land and holy sites and confront the schemes of the occupying regime.
Hamas called on the resilient Palestinians throughout the West Bank, the occupied territories of 1948, Jerusalem, and its surrounding areas to continue their presence and pilgrimage to Al-Aqsa Mosque, to guard and perform I’tikaf in it, thereby defending Al-Aqsa Mosque and thwarting the plans of the Israeli regime and extremist settlers.
The movement also urged the Arab and Islamic ummah and the free people of the world to take immediate and serious action at all political, diplomatic, media, and popular levels, mobilizing all capacities to support the Palestinian people who are resisting and standing firm on their land and in the arenas of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Hamas further called for confronting the criminal plans targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque, emphasizing that these efforts must continue until the full liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque from the defilement of occupation.
In conclusion, the movement paid tribute to the souls of the martyrs of the Al-Aqsa Intifada and all the caravans of martyrs of the Palestinian people who were martyred on the path to liberating land and holy sites. It affirmed its loyalty to their blood, sacrifices, and path until all the rights of the Palestinian people are fully reclaimed.
