US Air Fleet Suffers $3.3 Billion Loss in War with Iran

The United States military lost 81 aircraft, including advanced drones and helicopters, valued at $3.3 billion during conflict with Iran, according to a congressional report cited by multiple media outlets.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. military sustained significant losses to its air fleet during military operations against Iran, losing 81 fighter jets, helicopters, and drones that were either destroyed or damaged. The value of these lost aircraft is estimated at $3.3 billion.

The congressional report indicates that the damage incurred by the U.S. air fleet includes some of the nation’s most advanced aircraft. Among the losses, at least 45 MQ-9 Reaper drones were reported as lost. Each of these drones is valued between $30 million and $50 million.

The U.S. Congressional Research Service also noted that these figures may be subject to change due to the classified nature of some information, ongoing military operations, and the unresolved responsibilities for certain incidents in the future.
