Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Vows Stronger Ties with Iran Amid Regional Diplomacy

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to bolstering relations with Iran, emphasizing ongoing diplomatic efforts and welcoming support from friendly nations in mediating between Tehran and Washington.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated in a cabinet meeting that Islamabad remains dedicated to sincere mediation efforts between Iran and the United States and welcomes similar initiatives from other brotherly nations. The Prime Minister described Pakistan‘s relationship with Iran as friendly and fraternal, noting that ties between Tehran and Islamabad are expanding and that Pakistan is determined to further strengthen these connections. Sharif also lauded the role of Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, in the indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington. He added that Pakistan’s Foreign and Interior Ministers are in constant contact with their Iranian counterparts, and the Army Chief will continue his efforts to achieve regional peace and stability.
