Saudi Dissident Warns Riyadh Airport Attacks Pose Grave Danger to Crown Prince

A prominent Saudi dissident has stated that Yemeni missile attacks on Saudi airports, particularly the disruption of operations at Riyadh’s airport, present a more significant and dangerous threat to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman than oil disruptions. The dissident emphasized the critical nature of air travel infrastructure and its visibility in conveying national security.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi dissident Saad Al-Faqih has asserted that Yemeni missile operations targeting Saudi airports pose a far graver risk to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman than any impact on the kingdom’s oil facilities. Al-Faqih, speaking in response to the Yemeni strikes, highlighted the critical sensitivity of Riyadh’s airport operations.

He explained that the closure of Riyadh airport is more perilous for Mohammed bin Salman than oil blockades because air travel infrastructure is highly sensitive and reveals realities that are difficult to conceal. Al-Faqih noted that it is possible to hide damages within the oil sector or mitigate the consequences of its targeting.

The Saudi opposition figure stressed that this sensitivity is precisely why the Crown Prince is insistent on continuing concerts and football matches. This persistence, Al-Faqih believes, is aimed at projecting an image of a secure nation where life proceeds as normal, despite underlying security vulnerabilities.
