Kremlin Claims Zelensky Incapable of Sound Decisions Amidst International Negotiations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, stated on Sunday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is experiencing a state of distress and is incapable of making well-considered decisions. Peskov, in an interview with the media outlet ‘Vesti’, commented that if Zelensky possessed the ability for logical decision-making, he would have demonstrated a willingness to negotiate with Russia and advance the peace process.
He accused Zelensky of seeking further financial and armament aid from his supporters, including air defense systems, long-range weapons, and access to Starlink satellite internet infrastructure for attacks deep within Russian territory. Peskov also characterized Ukraine’s aggressive approach toward Russia as a “catastrophic mistake,” stating that Kyiv is paying the price for this stance.
These remarks emerged after a phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump claimed that Moscow has agreed to immediately supply over 300,000 tons of diesel fuel to the United States and global markets, with further shipments scheduled for the coming months.
In response to this agreement, Zelensky alleged that increased Russian revenue from energy exports could help finance the production of weapons, Shahed drones, and missiles. Trump, on Saturday, urged Ukraine to elect a new president and accused Zelensky of being unable to reach a peace agreement to end the war.
