In the meantime, “Nael Al-Barghouti” nicknamed “Abul Noor” is a Palestinian prisoner, whose name is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s oldest prisoner.

Forty-fourth year of the world’s oldest prisoner

Al-Barghouthi was first affiliated with Fatah Palestine movement, but later became a member of Hamas. The Israeli was arrested in April 1978 and sentenced to life imprisonment.
